ESR Rebound for iPad (7th generation)
Best for iPad (7th generation)
The Rebound is a basic folio-style case with a durable TPU shell that won’t crack or chip.
*At the time of publishing, the price was $14.
ESR Rebound for iPad mini (5th generation)
Best for iPad mini (5th generation)
This case has precise cutouts for each of the iPad mini’s openings, and it protects the buttons without affecting their clickiness.
ESR Rebound for iPad Air (3rd generation)
Best for iPad Air (3rd generation)
This version of the Rebound is actually sized to fit the iPad Air and is not just a rebranded 10.5-inch iPad Pro case.
*At the time of publishing, the price was $13.
ESR’s Rebound is the best inexpensive case for protecting the iPad (7th generation), the iPad mini (5th generation), and the iPad Air (3rd generation). It’s a basic folio design with a protective case that fits around the tablet and a front cover that protects the screen. Instead of the hard-plastic protective shell that most cheap cases use, it employs a flexible, more durable TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) material. As a result, it holds up better to chipping than otherwise comparable cases.
MoKo Ultra Slim
Best for iPad (5th and 6th generation)
Compared with many similar options, this case gets the most small things right.
*At the time of publishing, the price was $11.
The best option for simple, inexpensive, slim protection for the discontinued iPad with a 9.7-inch screen is MoKo’s Ultra Slim. It fully covers both sides and all edges of the tablet, it has a sturdy lid that doesn’t move around or pop open when you don’t want it to, and it looks pretty nice, too. Since ESR doesn’t make a Rebound for this iPad model, the MoKo case is the best option.
