Good quality, so-so fit
Our male and female testers found Trunk Club’s clothes expensive, and often didn’t like what stylists sent. But it offers a more personalized experience and higher-quality clothes than other services.
We tried three services—Trunk Club, Stitch Fix, and Bombfell—and none of them wowed our testers. Trunk Club was generally the most expensive; the clothes cost more than what our testers said they would pay on their own, and often pieces either didn’t fit or didn’t match our testers’ styles. That said, the clothes were higher-quality than those from Stitch Fix (our overall favorite styling service), and some of our women testers found it a good solution for getting out of a style rut. The service offers a good range of sizes (including petite, plus, big and tall, and maternity options) and free returns, and you can order boxes when you want them. The styling fee is a reasonable $25 and is waived if you purchase an item. Trunk Club also offers a few advantages other services don’t, including the ability to talk with a stylist and several brick-and-mortar locations where you can try on clothes.
