Prime Day, Amazon’s yearly deals bonanza for Prime members, is months away, but it’s never too early to start pulling together your wish list. Last year’s mid-July event yielded some of the best prices we saw during all of 2019, and we expect to see the same quality of deals this year. When we’ll see those deals is less certain, as Amazon has confirmed a Q4 date but has not yet revealed the specific dates of the event. Prime Day has been shrouded in uncertainty, with Reuters originally reporting that Amazon was pushing the event to August. In late May, the Wall Street Journal reported that Amazon had decided to push Prime Day to September. CNBC reported in early July that Amazon had provided sellers a placeholder date in October. Amazon then confirmed the event was delayed (but will occur in India August 6-7), finally confirming a projected Q4 Prime Day on Thursday, July 30. Here’s a quick primer (see what we did there?) on what you can expect for Prime Day 2020.
